so I had the weirdest fucking day today

I went to an alpaca farm to help out

I helped heard them to different paddocks.

there were ducks, geese, baby alpacas, and life seemed great

then.....

we found a dead alpaca who's head had been caught in a fence,

so on this first day of alpaca farm life for me....

I ended up heaving this dead alpaca onto a blue wagon and carting it across the paddock to be burried.


The whole thing was one of the most surreal events in my entire life

It's body was so huge, it's eyes were open, this yellow goop of bile and insides was leaking from its mouth. It was so floppy, it's neck bent completely the wrong way when the lady and I put it into the wagon. The lady asked me to read the serial number on it's tag so we could identify it correctly.

83143- aka Iris........RIP iris, I never got to meet you, but you taught me alot about myself and about life/death.

Your death was intense.

i had an AMAZING night last night.

Soooooo many meaningful hugs

all my friends under the one roof

getting told i deserve happiness by the one person who deserves it just as much

i won a game of pool

saw an old friend, more hugs

i got jumped on top of by joss, haha

d'n'm chat with 'the asian wearing a picnic tablecloth"

lovely car rides with my best friend eating lollies, having what always feels like a good therapy session

cup of tea and blackbooks

sleeping in mum's cosy bed.

so i thought I'd update you on life in caylietown

ive been really busy, had lots of fun, been thinking of designs alot

been thinking of life alot

been thinking, a lot.

cant stop listening to "sleeping lessons" by the shins.

went to the aquarium today

turtles are evil, who knew!

I have to work tomorrow so i should go to bed soon, its storming here at the moment

First day of RMIT, i find out i get to meet Beci Orpin in a month for a lecture she's giving

so, last week of normal life

as of the 11th i'll be at RMIT or on a train most of my week.

this week im working, finding art supplies, and perhaps St Kilda fest this weekend.

i spent the entire weekend with Ben, Skye and Matt. 

was enjoyable

need to make sure i keep some spare time to lay on grass and watch farm dogs round up small children.

damn yarn thief.

I have been offered a place at RMIT university.

This is the beginning of one of the best years of my life....i can feel it all setting into place.

those are some of what i've been working on lately, let me know what you think, the bottom ones are WIP's and not finished yet.

Another year has come and gone, 2007 was possibly the best year of my life, and a complete polar opposite to 2006.

On January 1st, 2007 i saw Matt Costa perform at the Hi- Fi

On January 1st, 2008 -  I was at the crazyness that is FALLS FESTIVAL

I'm exhausted , covered in bug bites, and really need to wash my hair, but it was the best new years eve I've ever had.

KINGS OF LEON counted us down to 2008, what could be better? AND THEY PLAYED MILK !!!!!!

I danced crazier than i've ever danced before, i sang louder than i've ever sung before.... and i hugged my friends and grinned at the year that is to come.

I think i achieved quite a few of the bigger things on my new years resoultions list for '07, and so in tradition i'll make another list and we'll see how it goes from here....

1- To achieve a level of creativity that astounds even me
2- To learn to speak Swedish in preparation for my trip in 2009
3- To save up a nice wad of moolah for my trip
4- To have an amazing relationship with a creative and caring individual
5- To dance and sing to music that takes me by the arms and spins me about
6- To spend as much time as I can with my best friends
7- To make a new and important friend
8- To do things i've been too scared to attempt
9- To look after my mum, and see her get married
10- To progress smoothly into this amazement that is "growing up"

Shaun got a guy in Thailand to paint that picture of Sufjan for me, for my Christmas present...... it's HUGE too......

I pretty much love my friends to death.....

I emailed the guy back, will be interesting to hear what he replies....

i've been blog absent for a while

i work alot, my new job is good but... i work alot

i've been crafting alot, knitting mostly (like the marimekko fingerless mitts above  i made from my own pattern )

I've made some new contacts/friends in the craft world, one being the lovely Pip of 'meet me at mikes' and Brooke who works there too aka boobook.

I've been driving alot

I've been sleeping horribly

I've been shopping online alot

I've been shopping in stores alot


I cant wait for xmas day when i can put my feet up with a platter of food and chocolate and listen to my sufjan xmas cd's and bask in all my presents and happy feelings.

I lead a busy life, a full one, but things are always changing, and i think things are changing for the better... again....the creativity in my life is very strong atm and it distracts me from feeling what i normally feel, lonely and tired. no wait i still feel tired, infact even more so.

on one hand i hope monday comes around real quick, I want shaun to come home already , I need a hug. on the other hand. so much depends on monday , i have folio interviews for the course (my dream course) i hope to get into for next 2 years.... wish me luck
